The company started in 1998 with a floating terminal in Chittagong. It grew by adding a greenfield plant in Kanchpur in 1999. The company also made other acquisitions and expansions. Now, it has a total production capacity of 2.4 million tonnes per year. Ruby Cement have ISO 14001 certification. Ongoing investments in infrastructure, like new silos and grinding mills, keep improving productivity.Four types of cement are available.

Portland Ruby Cement

Grinding clinker with a small amount of gypsum makes it. When you add water, the cement sets and becomes rigid. This happens because its components dissolve and react.

• Grade: 42.5 N
• Clinker : 95~100%
• Gypsum: 0% – 5%

Portland Composite Ruby Cement

Grinding Portland cement clinker makes this cement. It meets the requirements of BDS EN 197-1: 2010. You can use it for all general purposes.

• Grade: 42.5 N
• Clinker : 80% ~ 94%
• Slag, Fly ash & Limestone: 6%~20%
• Gypsum: 0% ~ 5%

Portland Composite – CEM II/B-M(S-V-L)

Grinding Portland cement clinker and other selected materials makes this cement. It follows the specifications outlined in BDS EN 197-1: 2010. Various purposes use this cement.

• Grade: 42.5 N
• Clinker : 65% – 79%
• Slag, Fly ash & Limestone 21% – 35%
• Gypsum: 0% – 5%

Multi Purpose Cement

Multi Purpose Cement is using the latest advanced technology. MPC can provide higher long-age strength. Multi Purpose Cement has class of 42.5 N.

• Grade: 42.5 N
• Clinker: 35% – 64%
• Blast furnace Slag: 36%-65%
• Minor extra Constituents: 0%-5%
